I wasn't able to check in, but I can leave a review.
We were there yesterday and picked up a to go.

Lau Lau plate and rice...so very ono and 4 Pastele's frozen, so I can steam it.

    Mahalo for the awesome grinds.
    Peace, Jules

My Family and I were looking forward to trying out this place. Unfortunately they were closed when we got there. We double checked the time and it says it's open on Yelp but the store was entirely closed.

Honest opinion. I wasn't impressed. The garlic chicken was kinda of watered down. I'm used to the sauce being more flavorful and thicker, the chicken was chopped up like bite size. In Hawai'i they usually do the whole chicken thigh.

When I first opened my plate the smell of the meat jun was an over powering smell of pancake batter which kind of threw off my taste buds and made me feel kind of nauseous because I hate pancakes . The meat was thick and kind of hard. In Hawaii it's usually softer and thinner.

Mac salad was kind of bland as the rest of the food, the texture was there...

I'm kind of iffy about trying the rest of the menu because I wasted $14 for the combination.

Customer service was excellent. Very local "Ohana" vibe but the food was mediocre "mainland Hawaiian" food.

Kau Kau Kitchen is a Hawaiian restaurant located at the cross-roads of Craig/Rancho in NW Las Vegas. It's inside a small shopping plaza. The easiest way to get to this restaurant is either the 95/Craig or take the 95/RANCHO (if you're coming from the opposite direction).

My boyfriend and I decided to try Kau Kau Kitchen on a Saturday morning, at 11:00 A.M. We ended up staying at the restaurant from 11:00 A.M - 12:00 P.M.

    We had ordered the following

    COMBO Plate special (Garlic Chicken/Chilli)
    Mini Loco Moco
    Pork Chashu
    Chicken Katsu Masubi
Also a COMBO Plate (TO-GO) order

It didn't take long for the preparations. We waited for roughly 30 minutes. The restaurant was quiet as we waited for the meals. No one else came in while we were eating. The team members were super friendly!

The Loco Moco was okay. The beef was rough to eat and felt over-cooked. The gravy was a little thicker than what I am used to for a Loco Moco, but still the flavor mixture with the rice, beef, and egg tasted good. I would probably try a different dish when I come back to Kau Kau Kitchen in the future. My boyfriend really liked his COMBO plate with the Garlic Chicken and Chilli. I did try the Garlic Chicken, and the chicken was deeply fried with a hint of garlic. I don't typically like Chilli type dishes, but I did try it. If you like Chilli, I'm sure you would like the Chilli at Kau Kau Kitchen.

Prices are relatively inexpensive, except for their authentic Hawiaan dishes. Those can range from $15.00 and higher. The 'Mini' type dishes are around $7.75. Their COMBO plates are $12.00. The portion size is just right for their pricing. If you like Hawaiian food, this is a great spot for you, located in NW Vegas.

My ultimate fav food is Hawaiian. Sometimes hit or miss in town with what I'm looking for.

However today, I got what I was looking for. I wanted to close my eyes and feel like I was on the big island with my friends and family, and that is exactly what I got.

I ordered the Loco Moco, Garlic Chicken, and the Lilikoi from the machine. However they have it in cans, I just don't drink out of cans.

Nothing that was ordered disappointed at all. They opened at 11:30am and my order was waiting for me. Beyond friendly service. The whole experience was def good vibes all the way around.

Plenty of table seating, and interior was very clean. Great music was playing. Put me in a happy place.

    I would def recommend

Location is Craig/ Rancho- ample parking
